Setting up a medication or supplement on Zamplo Research, and then adding it to a Routine allows you to monitor when participants take a medication or supplement.

Note: If a medication or supplement is set up, but not added to a routine, you will not be able to monitor the medication or supplement.
You may add medications and supplements to a routine if you want to monitor a participant’s medication and frequency. You may also want to assess the impact these may have on a participant and their health during a trial.
To add a medication or supplement:- Login to your Zamplo Research account
- From the dashboard, navigate to the left side of the screen and click the “Study Setup” dropdown
- Then click “Medication/Supplement”
- To add a new medication, click the “Add New Medication/Supplement” button in the top right
- Type the name of the medication/supplement you want to add
- Use the preset option that appears, make a custom entry, or insert a DIN/NPN
- Select the quantity that needs to be taken and the unit that corresponds to the medication/supplement
- Select the frequency and time frame that it needs to be taken in
- If you have a medication or supplement that isn’t taken on a reoccurring basis, you can select “As Needed”
- If you have a medication or supplement that is taken weekly, you can select “Weekly”

- If this medication needs to be taken multiple times a day you can set the frequency and select “Daily”
- Add any additional information such as instructions for how or when the medication should be taken
- If the medication is meant to be taken only during a certain time, such as through the duration of the study, you can select the start and end dates here
- Add any notes if needed
- If you have set up Study Groups, assign the medication/supplement to the specific group, otherwise select "All Participants"
- You can view information such as the active ingredients or strength by selecting “Medication/Supplement Information”
- Once you are finished, click “Save”

To edit or delete a medication or supplement:
- From this main "Medications/Supplements" page select the medication or supplement you want to edit or delete
- Click the three dots in the top right corner to edit or delete the medication or supplement
Now that you have added a medication or supplement, you can add it to a Routine to be monitored for a study.
