Setting up a symptom on Zamplo Research, and then adding it to a Routine allows you to monitor when participants experience a symptom.
In this how-to tutorial, learn how to set up, edit and delete symptoms in Zamplo Research.
Watch the video below or click here to read the step-by-step guide.
Note: If a symptom is set up, but not added to a routine, you will not be able to monitor the symptom.
You may add symptoms to a routine if you want to monitor what symptoms appear or change due to a treatment plan or how a diagnosis may impact a participant’s symptoms. You may also want to assess the impact of symptoms with other health data, such as medications or activities, that’s captured during the project.
To add a symptom:
- Login to your Zamplo Research account
- From the dashboard, navigate to the left side of the screen and click the “Study Setup” dropdown
- Click “Symptoms”
- To add a new symptom, click the “Add New Symptom” button in the top right
- Type the name of the symptom you want to add
- Use the preset option that appears or make a custom entry
- Select the measure that you want participants to use for tracking
- Option one is Yes/No and option two is a scale of 0 to 10
- Select a graph colour and style that will correspond to this symptom
- Once you are finished, click “Save”
----------
To edit or delete a symptom:
- From the main "Symptoms" page select the symptom you want to edit or delete
- Click the three dots in the top right corner to edit or delete the symptom
Now that you have added a symptom, you can add it to a Routine to be monitored for a study.
